Job Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer at Asepha, you will be integral to developing the core systems that power our product platform. Your contributions will drive backend services, robust infrastructure, and AI-driven workflows that simplify and transform complex pharmacy operations. This high-ownership role offers the opportunity to solve challenging problems, collaborate with talented cross-functional teams, and make a direct impact on patient care across the healthcare ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build scalable systems for automation workflows that drive operational efficiency in pharmacy care.
Develop backend services, APIs, and internal tools for our AI-powered platform.
Maintain and evolve integrations with healthcare and external partner systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate closely with product, design, and clinical stakeholders to define and deliver software solutions that meet user needs.
Enhance system reliability, observability, and security in mission-critical production environments.
Shape engineering standards and contribute to architectural decisions that scale as our company grows.
Drive projects end-to-end, from vision and technical design through deployment, monitoring, and refinement.
Contribute to a robust engineering culture that values openness, continual improvement, and impactful innovation.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience developing production software in high-scale environments.
Demonstrated expertise in backend engineering, API design, and deployment in cloud-based environments.
Proficiency in at least one of: TypeScript, Python, Go, or Java.
Solid knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), distributed systems, and modern system design principles.
Strong product sense and communication skills—able to translate complex technical requirements into user-centered solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with regulated industries (healthcare, finance, etc.) and an understanding of compliance/security requirements.
Background in building or integrating AI/ML systems within large-scale applications.
Experience mentoring engineers and shaping engineering best practices.
Contributions to open-source projects or technical communities.
