Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and board-certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) to join our vibrant team. As a Music Therapist at Arabesque Conservatory of Music, you will design and deliver individualized and group music therapy interventions to support clients with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, autism, and other challenges. Your work will promote therapeutic outcomes such as emotional regulation, improved communication, enhanced motor skills, and positive social engagement. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized music therapy treatment plans based on client assessment and therapeutic goals.

  • Conduct individual and group music therapy sessions in-person or online, adapting techniques and interventions to client needs and abilities.

  • Work with clients presenting a wide range of abilities and diagnoses, including, but not limited to, developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.

  • Collaborate with caregivers, educators, healthcare professionals, and other therapists to provide holistic, client-centered care.

  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of session plans, client progress, and treatment records in accordance with agency and professional standards.

  • Monitor, evaluate, and adapt treatment approaches to ensure the effectiveness of interventions.

  • Follow safety and professional conduct protocols during in-home, onsite, and virtual sessions.

  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards as defined by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) and organizational policy.

Required Qualifications

  • Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) credential in good standing.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music Therapy from an accredited institution.

  • Proven experience working with individuals with varying abilities, including those with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and other challenges.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Ability to adapt and modify therapeutic interventions based on client needs and responses.

  • Reliable transportation for in-home visits within the service area.

  • Commitment to maintaining client safety and professional boundaries in all settings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Music Therapy or related field.

  • Fluency in additional languages.

  • Experience with telehealth delivery methods.

  • Background in a variety of musical instruments and genres.

  • Training or certifications in related therapeutic modalities (e.g., ABA, art therapy).
